Banned by Avalon / Bill Ryan

Over five years ago, I was permanently banned from Avalon for asking: "Who watches the watchers?" In other words, who checks up on Bill Ryan and crew to ensure the legitimacy of their leadership (specifically with regard to censoring / banning members)? This was a valid question and began to generate a valid discussion, which administrator Paul and moderator Dennis decided to squelch by banning me for not being "in alignment with the purpose and energy of the forum". Evidently, improving the forum is not in alignment with the forum itself.

I am reminded of that incident because today a new member named Triandal signed up at Inphinet. He too was banned just recently from Avalon, in his case apparently for posting information critical of scientology. Bill Ryan was a scientologist (and may still be), and it is somewhat common knowledge at Avalon that talking critically about scientology is likely to get you banned. It is a sensitive subject there because of Bill Ryan's personal history that he wants to keep secret.

During my four months at Avalon, I witnessed the banning of many people. Keep in mind that most bannings are not witnessed, so the ones I saw were just the tip of the iceberg. In nearly every banning I witnessed, there was no valid reason for it. The bannings have continued over the past five years with the same excessive frequency and for the same flimsy reasons. So there is a veritable stadium full of people out there who have suffered the Avalon ban hammer.

Some of those people may want to have a voice to express their disappointment with the hypocrisy demonstrated at Avalon, where truth-seeking is the advertised goal but censorship is the delivered product. Maybe this thread could be their soapbox.

 

All quotes below are taken from Bill Ryan's post announcing the banning of Triandal here.

"Unsubscribed" is the double-speak way of saying "banned". This is how sociopaths soften the descriptions of their unjust actions.

Bill further separates himself from this banning by using the third person perspective ("the reason given"), and he also implies it is a group action ("a note we have the option to add"). Sociopaths don't take responsibility for their actions, preferring instead to blame others.

This official excuse for banning a forum member is just more deception. Being "a new member" is obviously not grounds for banning. Showing "little respect" is a subjective judgment call used as a catch-all excuse, kind of like cops using "resisting arrest" to beat or kill a subdued victim. "Willingness to listen and learn" is also not grounds for banning. If it were, Bill Ryan would have been banned many times over. "This is not the right forum for you" means that you are not the easily manipulatable sycophant that Bill Ryan can mold to his purposes.

And finally, "we wish you well". Bill Ryan and minions don't give a crap about you. Bill's entire "bye bye" post was written for the easily manipulatable sycophants that are still Avalon members, to make them believe Bill's actions are justified, that forum membership is a special privilege, and that you had better suck-up to Bill properly or risk being banned.

 

Let's do something that would get us banned from Avalon -- let's analyze how Bill Ryan and crew "set up" the banning of Triandal. Doing so will show how it was not really a pre-planned, deliberate conspiracy, but a convergence of sociopathic interests. It's like the "old" Neocon saying, "Never let a good crisis go to waste."

The pivotal point was Carmody's post accusing Triandal of "thrusting NLP crap" on himself and by extension on all Avalon members. This gives the impression that Carmody is protecting the forum members from a sinister attack, which is a common theme at Avalon -- providing a safe and gentle environment for truth-seekers (which is a complete deception). Note that Carmody gives absolutely no evidence to back up his accusation that Triandal is using NLP!

Triandal's reaction is a normal one, a "tit for tat". He knows he's not using NLP, and he knows Carmody is lying in an outrageous manner. So Triandal responds in kind, basically claiming with indignation and outrage that it is Carmody who is thrusting his crap on Triandal!

Triandal has done the same thing that Carmody did, only the truth is on Triandal's side. But guess who gets the ban hammer for "lack of respect"? Not Carmody, who has clearly disrespected Triandal. No, Carmody is a long-time member of the Bill Ryan crew. He's one of the faithful minions. He knew he was doing Bill Ryan a favor by goading Triandal. Carmody is cleverly looking after his own advancement in the Avalon hierarchy and in the eyes of Bill Ryan.

So Triandal gets banned, not Carmody. Carmody's unwarranted disrespect is overlooked, while Triandal's warranted disrespect is punished. Pretty clever, huh? This is why the con-game that is Avalon continues to thrive and provide Bill Ryan with fawning women, a lucrative income for almost no work, and plenty of opportunities to feed off others like a very happy parasite.

Now, wait until we analyze "the reason given" for Triandal's banning, direct from the con-man himself, Bill Ryan! There's more to learn in that little gem of a post!

 

It was a very good thread which I really enjoyed reading! I especially liked the two videos in this post. There is nothing like the credibility of a former insider and family member exposing the con!

What an absurd and highly hypocritical excuse! Bill Ryan and his defective psychology are transparent enough if you know what to look for.

Carmody is a Bill Ryan suck-up and a fraud. Look at Carmody's reaction to your presentation, where he says, "I'll not have someone dropping in here.... and thrusting NLP crap at me, right here on this forum. Not a chance. I'll call it out when I see it."

Carmody gives absolutely no evidence supporting his allegation ("NLP crap"), mainly because he has none. He's just prancing about on stage to gain Bill Ryan's approval and favor. He has done that for as long as I have observed him, starting in January 2011.

 

scientologists continue to have an influence in many areas. One reason for this is how they are often underestimated. This process has many faces, for example discussing the relative abilities of the founder as a writer, or belittling the psychological games used to create obedience.

All any one has to do is realize a couple of things to know how dangerous the network of scientology truly is: First, how many groups IN ANY COUNTRY... much less America have been allowed to claim tax exempt status? Hint, refer to the world religions! Something happened to make the IRS do that...

Second, look at how much money flows to the group. Its scary.

No one should ever be censored regarding an expose on any group, particularly one that is tax exempted!

I decided to start a thread on the dangers of Scientology and how damaging it could be.Very soon i was hounded by the hat man and his follow on Scientology cult members.This was their reason Bill Ryan gave below for banning me on the thread.

Triandal has been unsubscribed. The reason given (a note we have the option to add when toggling the software in the database, which he will see next time he logs in), was:
You're a new member, and have shown little respect, or willingness to listen and learn. This is not the right forum for you, and we wish you well.

I believe this forum is a safe haven for ex Scientologist to spread their disinformation onto others.Also what member Carmody says about being an alchemist and transmuting base metals into gold.Wtf is he going on about lol.
